How is my score calculated?
Words per minute uses correctly matched characters, with five characters counting as one word. Accuracy is the percentage of your current text that matches the prompt, including spaces. Correcting a mistake improves your score. Raw WPM counts all characters, including mistakes. Word and custom tests finish when you reach the end of the passage; timed tests run for the selected duration. “Stop on mistake” ends the test on your first mismatch. The clock keeps running if you switch tabs. Your preferences are saved on this device when browser storage is available; your typing and custom text are never saved or sent. Press Escape while typing to start over.
